Duty & silk

What five years of Theology studies never gave me, a bicycle ride to Nørrebro did this weekend.
What started in the genre of Sex and the City-philosophy took a turn to an understanding of a Kierkegaard thought, wich I untill yesterday never really came to terms with.
The case is an imminent wedding of a friend - and the fact, that I hate weddings.
Or I hate, what weddings do to me, and I found myself in a monologue on my bike argueing for the point, that a wedding invitation in fact should include the right to bring a companion.
A rule that seems to be current in Sex and the City, where Carrie never finds herself at a wedding only accompanied by a pair of Manolo Blahniks. Either the girl friends are on the guest list among all the oh-so-in-love-couples, or she naturally brings a pink suited gayfriend as a companion.
I was wishing for this very human wedding rule to be common in my context while almost peaking the disgust of weddings. Then a new thought caught me:
Hey, come on... when it happens – the wonder, where hearts, bodies, heads – and the fucking timing - meet in a lovely clash - then time necessarily has to be stopped, all the rituals available are needed to celebrate and mark, and most important – the beloved friends should definitely share that wonder with you!

The wonder seems to be the case with my friend now.... and Kierkegaard suddenly showed up in my mind saying
Love is duty.

So according to Søren K, I found it is my duty to go shopping.
I will be a good friend and celebrate with joy and style.
Few will recognize my discomfort, wich will be dressed up in silk and silvery shoes.
That´s how duty and pleassure sometimes meet in unpredictable ways.

Need to have

Yeah! Im stunned after a wake-up-swim in Øresund this morning. It is growing September-like, the water is cold and oh so clear - how I love this sea and September!
Øresund is definitely on my Need-to-have-list.
And allready after one early morning shot, my Aero Press is subscribing to that list too - acompanied by the Gatundu Kenyan coffee from Tim Wendelboe.
A half-done cover for my MacBookAir is waiting in the sewing machine today - gonna dress that new semester a bit up.

Best

Had a lot of girltalk, sushi and rosé to catch up on, so M and I started this night after too many weeks apart. Guess we need another life untill we are done.
That´s the best.

Uf, that sounds too sweet and kliché (but whatever, it also is the first time in life, I´ve bought a touristed friend-bracelet! Now M threatens me with one of those broken heart-necklesses..
The best is to reconsider, if what I dreamed of when I was 12 is a threat, just because I am closer to 30 than 12..)
That´the best.

Besides, concerning another life, I guess I´d be satisfied with just one ride in this roundabout of a life.
Though today I might have said yes, if I was offered another ride...
It´s one of those days, where the charm is enough to make the dustmen drive down the narrow road to free us from all the rubbish and old crap collected at the dormitory for years... and thereby freeing me from a lot of crap work - two days of obligatory practical work at the dormitory was done before noon.
That´s the best.

And yet I didn´t even tell about my latest new friend... : 10 seconds in peace, 20 seconds hard press and vola - the cleanest acidic taste of blackberry is to be enjoyed!
I can´t wait to wake up and get closer with my new Aero Press coffeewonder in the morning.

To play with words and to wish to wake in the morning
That´s the best.
